Make a long story real short, when I first got my car I changed all fluids, filters and leads and plugs at a mechanic near work ( only went there cause its close so I can walk to work) that was about 2.5 yrs ago and about 40000km ago, anyways on Monday I heard about a sale on the spark plugs I needed so I went and got the saved $80 and the following night I went to the mechanic I would normally use ( he lets me watch and help out when needed! He started undoing to old plugs and all 4 on the drivers side were just finger tight, the other 4 where tight! Anyway just was annoyed that I trusted them and the didn't do the job correctly and the charged me a small fortune! Sorry just had to vent

Surely any mechanic worth his salt would have noticed the car running rough or badly during normal servicing and investigate?? I'd be more annoyed at the guy who regularly services the car and has missed such a thing on more than 1 occasion.

My mechanic has never driven it, I put it on the hoist I take it off the hoist
It has always been a bit doughy in the morns and in take off, but I thought it was normal! It's never played up I just thought it didn't like poking around its was fine when I put my foot down and it was higher in the revs! It's the only v8 I've ever driven

car still ran, regardless if they were finger loose.

at the end of the day everyone is just human, as long as no one was hurt because the bolts on a wheel werent tighten then i wouldnt think too much of it.

As I said just wanted to have a sook, I'm far from a mechanic I have no idea,
Just annoyed when you pay for something to be done and its done poorly!
