Knocking Right side of Engine

Hey Noticed Yesterday After Accelerating Was a slight knocking sound on Driver side in the engine bay sounds like upper engine. Engine doesn't make they Noise under load only when coming down and making and whoosh sound when you put your foot on accelerator sounds like its coming from air intake

Took it too mechanic Today Was told it has done a bottom end is all i was told and the engine should be replaced Was quoted $7200 fitted with new engine just wondering anybody have a similar problems Car is a 3.6L VE series 2 2012 model so the SIDI build

101000KM last service was at 90000kms

If I were you I'd get a 2nd opinion from somewhere else before you go spending that kind of money
