Hi guys , was wondering if anyone knows if the lfx on a vf commodore is a non interference engine? I’ve broken a valve spring and was wondering the likelihood of a bent valve
Cheers

All depends how long it ran when it broke,
And could have done other internal damage,
You need to remove the head anyway,
That will also show any internal damage,
Then need to take it from there I guess.

Do you think a bore scope might be with a try before I rip the head off
Cheers for you answer

Borescope might help or do a cylinder leak down test to see if the valves are bent (or a hole in the piston).

As above ^^^^

Yes, that will help, give you an idea of the top of the piston, any damage will be shiny I guess,
but wont show you the belt valve,
I am assuming the valve has dropped ?

Either way, I recon its a head off job.
