Hi all,

So on Saturday I was celebrating my brother's 30th birthday at his place, long story short somewhere between getting out the car and throwing up drunk on his mother inlaw later on I've lost my car keys, me and the Mrs were forced to get the Uber home and she was filthy at me because she was the designated driver for the night and she could of sunk a few in the end anyway.
The cars still stuck at my brother's joint because I'm trying to avoid paying an arm and a leg for a locksmith, I was hoping that you knowledgeable commodore enthusiasts could shed some light on another solution to getting into the car. I realize I can get my scan tool to program another key to it but obviously getting into the car is the first step.

Please help because my brother lives in a pretty rough neighborhood and I'm stressing out ever since.

Cheers

Step 1. Contact your insurance company.
Step 2. Get a locksmith.

Note:
No one on this forum is, or should publicly post how to break into a car.

get auto assist to open car. or put a brick through your least favourite window, if you think keys are inside
or my preferred solution
have 2 new keys and remotes made to suit your car from your security info provided by holden

you pretty much dont have the tools required to get in unless you use a brick.
just get a callout locky to open it but be aware that the horn will start to go off when you open the door.

once you sort it out get the new key(s) and use the mdi to wipe out the old keys and program in the new ones and you should be good.

…. and have the missing key removed from the security system in the car. Iirc, the VF can only have three keys registered to it, so get a new key linked to it, and get the missing key removed.

You won't fix it without an automotive specialist locksmith when you've lost your key.

flat top to a dealer or...an auto locksmith
+1 as it gets it away from that dodgy neighbourhood his brother lives in

you want to profusely apologise to your brothers mother-in-law for throwing up on her… and then apologise again and never again drink in her presence
