I remember hearing somewhere that LS3 prefix was allocated to 'service engines' (replacement crate motors)





My original engine started with DGD but new replacment engine number Starts with LS3





Sounds like Holdens telling the truth.

For people that have original engine they should not start with 'LS3' .

Anyone can verify this ?

Yeah but full engine number starts with LS3. Is that on rego papers ?
