LS3 Engine number

I remember hearing somewhere that LS3 prefix was allocated to 'service engines' (replacement crate motors)





My original engine started with DGD but new replacment engine number Starts with LS3





Sounds like Holdens telling the truth.

For people that have original engine they should not start with 'LS3' .

Anyone can verify this ?

I cant see the actual number on the block. Just paperwork

I think that 14 number is irrelevant

On my paperwork it’s K14 163381425
