LS3 swapping 95 ecotech vs

G'day guys, just wanting to know what I'd need to do/if it's even possible to LS3 swap my vs Commodore, I've seen this be done before but I don't know what the bloke had to change to be able to make it work.
I don't care what it's costs or how long it takes, it's a project for a reason

LS swap is pretty ubiquitous for every car on earth, use search or just google it, it's exactly the same process for a VS. Been covered plenty, there's a few threads in the build section. There's enough off the shelf parts and information out there that you should just be able to throw mass cash at it to piece together a bunch of stuff to do it.

You need the entire LS driveline and electronics, none of the V6 stuff (including the transmission) will work.

Have you priced up an LS3 lately?

Salvage Auto's on the Gold coast have four for sale starting from just under $16,000 and that's just for the engine. Not quite sure but I think you take the cost of the engine and double it. A complete waste of money. Win lotto first then give it some more thought.

also add the cost of brakes and engineering to engine, trans, cooling, fueling. wiring looms and all the mounting conversions kits you find online

I've been giving it some more thought. Better to go for an LSA motor and stick a big cam in it. You will be able to do skids from one end of the street to the other.

Contact the engineer first. Thats the first step. He'll guide you every step of the way.
That way it'll be able to be road registered.

ls3 are fly by wire so if you want to retain the throttle cable you can buy a electronic device or change the reluctor wheel on the crank

Nobody seems to have taken any notice of his age. Good chance he is a p plater. There are instances where a p plater can drive a v8. In QLD it is when there are only v8's at that house. Insurance, forget it until he is 25 and then only someone like Shannon's will insure a modified car.
