Thought I would share a few photos and a little info on my 'old school Torrie'.
It's a '76 LX. I picked it up for $1,600 in 1996. That makes it a 44 year old car - 24 years under my ownership - which is really, really scary!
Anyway, it was my first car, my P-plate car, then evolved to a part time events car (drags, burnouts) and for quite a long time was still being used a daily driver. 3 kids in the last decade put the brakes firmly on the performance events, so these days it's now my CPS-plated weekend cruiser. I'm happy now to just max out my 45 day logbook each year.
I'm a bit of a slave to nostalgia. Love the old school 80's/90's builds with a few select tweaks - and so that's where my car has remained. I love V8s, love carbies and love a tough exhaust note.
In a nutshell - it's running a fairly mild 381 small block Chev, T350/3,500 stall, 3.7's. Will cover the quarter in the high 11's, so it's a good fun all-round street car...
Cheers,
Brett.
