Tuning will extract more power and possibly better economy.
not fussed about power just want the induction roar
How much for theVCM/MACE OTR shipped? And as i know nothing about modding/working on cars (chippy) can it be done by a green horn or better left to a mechanic?
Price we can do the Alloytec Orrsom OTR is $585
Including a 6mm manifold insulator, the price for our CAI kit is $690. Shipping to QLD would be around the $30 mark
As for installation, you can certainly DIY, the only tricky part that you may have is the MAF loom which need to be extended (cut and lengthened)
Some more feedback about our OTR
Hopefully Arthur, will be elaborate on his experience further when he gets a chance
I think that might be the wrong link, or my phone is playing up. Lol
Link is fine(?), just have to look for post #240
Got good news from Steve on the otr for the MY12 LFX engines. Shouldn't be long till they're available and should see over 22% power increase from both a tune and the otr. Heaps keen
Yeah I have to put the dyno graph up when I get a chance. There is probably more in it as cat protection was coming on making it plenty rich top end
Any new info on the LFX engine front? When can we expect to get them/power figures etc etc?
They're out now for the LFX motors so give MACE an email or PM them here. I just placed an order yesterday. $690 for the otr kit which includes the vcm otr and a manifold insulator.
They're now available In regards to gains, no results on the LFX engines yet, however with the LFW engine (3.0L version of the LFX), we've seen power gains of over 22% in conjunction with a tune. I dare say gains will be greater on the LFX engine given the greater greater engine capacity (greater air requirements)
Hope this helps
Just got mine on. Will try and get some sound clips for everybody!
oh please do haha cant wait to get my cams and otr
We need sound clips dude
Me too! Did you have as much fun as I did trying to squeeze the OTR between the throttle body and front end? A snug fit indeed!
I also managed to lose a push clip as you can see from the centre of the OTR :/
Yes I did! I was worried I was the only one.
Looks good! Maybe you could take a push clip from somewhere else?
More and better videos coming. For now though
Hey Steve, just wondering how much it'd be to get the the OTR, spacer and a tune and if you know somewhere in melb to get it all done?
What way did you guys put the otr over the throttle body? I had lots of trouble getting it on ha ha. Like to know the different ways people tried
