MY13 maps are great

been running MY11 and then MY12 and my streets havent been in there (lived in this house for 2 years)... MY13 has them !!!!! definately worth the upgrade

So is this a plug and play operation or what is the go??? I have a E3 Senator.

It's just a SD card on the drivers side bottom of the H/U, just pull old one out and insert new SD card with MY13 maps. Only need to remove trim below steering wheel and next to bottom of the IQ.

FYI, the type of SD card holden uses for IQ nav is a SDHC card of 4gb, MY12(A2C53427514) nav files and maps are 364mb in size.

Yes it is indeed possible.

I ended up buying the MY13 Maps, and was very happy with the result.
I was also looking in to hacking the maps.
(There is quite a bit of info on hacking these specific maps in the BMW world), so I immediately backed my original maps up, and copied them to a spare SD card,
and started hacking away).
(I am sure backing up the maps constitutes as fair use in my case, as with software/media you can legally make a backup if you hold a license to use the said software / media).
Hacking the map data will probably not be classified as fair use though

The maps on the copied SD card worked, but the Sat Nav was very slow to start, and very slow to update whilst driving around.

Finally, anyone thinking of asking me for a copy of the maps, please DON'T. If I can afford to shell out my hard earned for the map upgrades, then there is no reason why others cannot do the same if they REALLY want the upgrade.

The SD card must be a SDHC, then it works just fine.

Question, now that the VF has moved to the 'mylink' system or whatever they call it. Does this mean there will be no more software and/or map updates for the IQ system?
