Welcome to Just Commodores, a site specifically designed for all people who share the same passion as yourself.
He was quite excited last night, asking questions about how we'll clean this, fix that etc.
He does "automotive engineering" (non ATAR) at school where they are getting taught how to work on the basics on cars, disassemble lawn mower motors etc.
They have a work shop with a couple of hoists and the teacher has 3 or 4 cars there for them to fiddle with.
The teacher had them putting the interior back into his HR the other week so he could take it over the pits lol. Nothing like free labour under cover of education.
He is also doing non-ATAR engineering (i.e. fabrication) and has been learning welding for the last couple of years. His last project was a portable hot plate / grill for use over open fires. Current project is a workshop stool that I can use for detailing. Keen to see how that turns out.
Wifey had the JCW manual. That was a heap of fun to drive and well built, except the front wheel drive wheel spin & understeer.
Fixed that problem with a Clubsport. haha.
Has it got those funky union jack tail lights?
Ex missus had supercharged version...didn't like centre dash or window switches when they were new but now kind of unique.
Those school projects sound great. wish they did that stuff when I was at school. All I got to make was wooden noticeboards and metal windchimes...
i must be alone here but these things (BMW Mini) just don't do it for me, they are just another hatchback. The OG Mini was a completely different beast and a hell of a lot more fun.
Bloody good price though, can't argue with that.
That come up a treat, can't believe the filth just on the dash and inner panels.
Is that an upgraded headunit?
Love the colour
