JC is full of people who have 'been there, done that' and they can guide a new user through the whole process to save them dollars, head fks with problems and (best of all) legalities.

"and (best of all) legalities"
What exactly do you mean by this?

i mean a lot of mods such as pod filters, are not legal.

If not fitted properly, like fitting one straight of the end of the throttle body on the old 5.0!!!

A properly enclosed pod filter is legal.

Plenty of people dont go to the effort though. ;)

Yeah but that is no different V6 or V8.

That's exactly why I asked for clarification on Ari's post & trust sabbath to put his two sense worth in! Their is no difference between a V6 doing that mod & a V8 doing it either, both will technically be illegal.

Are the American exported sidi engines any different to ours? Not being a smartass or anything but people in the states have made 350rwkw with JUST a turbo...? (Obviously it's plumbed into the car it's not in the passenger seat screaming FASTER FASTER!) Do you guys reckon it's crap or? Is it genuinely possibly for these engines to get up and go, but has anyone maxed it out and blown it to pieces?

Which car are you talking about? There are dozens of variations of the HFV6

I think he is referring to the LF3 engine that makes its debut exclusively in the 2014 Cadillac CTS Vsport midsize luxury sedan as well as the 2014 XTS Vsport full-size luxury sedan. 313 kW SAE with two very small turbos but yeah capable of more output.
