Not a solution to your problem, but an answer to your question:

Batteries, multiple batteries but still producing 12V, hook all the +'s together as one, and all the -'s together as one, this is wiring in 'parallel', this would not hurt your car at all, the voltage remains the same, but now has the amps from all to crank.

Turning 2 12V batteries into 24V - hook up one negative terminal or battery 1 to the positive terminal of battery 2, then the remaining + from battery 1 and - from battery 2 to whatever you want to apply 24V to. This is wiring in 'serial'.

I would not be applying 24V to your starter motor, I think this would cause the magic smoke to escape.

It would make it turn really fast for a few seconds hahaha... just like if you connected 24V to a 12V globe, it would make it twice as bright until it died a fiery death after a couple of seconds.

Its magic cos nobody knows how it gets in there, but the one certain thing is once you see it come out, whatever it was doesn't work anymore

Yup, done it to a computer when I was kid, at least that's what I remember the switch saying!!

It went POP, and I ran away from it without the parents knowing....
I woulda got my ass branded had the old lady have known!

If the other way doesn't work, then I'll be doing that I think, I have a spare, I can use it.

But......
Is the starter the ONLY thing I can cook with that?
