lol! ok. well the reason for the first pic of the night is i wanted to check how much room i have for the heater core pipes to exit. turns out there is a bit, so i went ahead and did this:

much easier to work with steel when there are no pockets of rust to blow holes in ****. shape is a bit off on the bottom of the trans tunnel, but a bit of filler will do nicely, plus its pretty much unseen.

now all i gotta do is drill two big holes in it :(

ill fab up a couple of mounting points for the center and for the motor on the end. not gonna be able to use the fresh air option cos' its directly underneath where i installed the wiper motor. so ill just hope an engineer doesnt have a hard-on for the "additional source of fresh air" thing.

should have a fully installed heater this time tomoz if all goes to plan. once thats out of the way. its only loom locations. dont think im gonna buy those bulkhead fittings, just cos im running seriously low on cash, so ill just use a grommet for the haltech and stick to the HQ loom i had before, but located in a hidden position.

anyway, night fellas. (or morning, whatever)

decided that im going to do a "power-weekend" on this thing this w/e.

any volunteers very welcome. simple stuff really, laying filler, sanding filler, removing doors, scotchbriting stuff, masking, etc. basically wanna see how close i can have this thing to paint. be nice to lay some colour some time next week.

starting tonight and running through the weekend.

Oh but for the tyranny of distance I'd be in.
