those tarago's, damn.

That load capacity makes me moist

The only thing that can take a bigger load than a tarago is Gianna Michaels.

last nights mission once i figure out wtf is happening on this interior loom, all the rest of this stuff "should" happen fairly rapidly. all the switch etc are pre-wired but i got weird issues like: when you unplug the dash clusters earth, the headlights come on! the headlights are not even on the circuit to the dash! and just high beams too, and get this: the high/low beam switch doesnt do anything! lol, its like something has been wired to the headlight wire or something.

there is no reason the horn shouldnt work. from the horn to the relay to the body loom plug its all sorted. but somewhere between the switch and the inside of the loom plug there is a fault.

anyway, ill have a go at stripping back a meter or so of wire after the loom plug and i reckon ill find something shorting somewhere.

.

Had a very similar problem when we did a dash replacement on my son's dato 260Z ...drove us nuts for days ...ended up being the live feed from the clock being plugged into an earth plug.A number of the plugs were identical, should have fried or at least got nice and toasty...and the clock still worked go figure

thought id take a few random confusing photos. this is the remains of the old loom so far. this is not what i have cut off and thrown away, this is whats left to fit:

bought a shitload of these bad boys in varing different pin counts, so next time hama takes out my dash he doesnt have to cut anything:

the fuserail is gonna be moved here. still visible with a torch, yet mostly difficult to see as a passenger. i had so much unnecessary stuff hooked up to this fuse rail, it isnt funny. i.e. light switch>fuserail>relay>light, so i cut a lot off it.

remnants of the old loom. im gonna run the main loom up high and secured this time, rather than relying on gravity and wire tension to hold it in place:

VN_Luke came round friday and pulled a late session. wouldve been a quick fix but he had a massive headfk of "how did ari, why did ari, what the fk was ari thinking when he..." etc

cruise control cable went in PERFECTLY. i figured that just 1 bolt wasnt enough for my own well-being so gave it a couple of zaps to the dash frame.

and the control box has a fk-tarded mounting system, so this is the best place i could find for it:

and finally, had to chop the edge off the indicator stalk, cos it stopped me from fitting the steering wheel! fk annoying crap. anyway, fits now:
