I've never used primer either, just make sure your parts are spotless before you apply and buy a tin of caliper paint that says it does not need a primer

Caliper paint is made with lazy people in mind that will spray on not overly clean brakes. It will go on fine without primer.

Yeh righto, I guess I will go without primer then, just figured I can save $25 by not getting primer if it does'nt make any difference.
