You sure they aren’t original 19’s?
Got me fooled of they aren't!

They're the original 19" clubsport rims painted black. I doubt they made knock offs of those rims. The MY08 Upgrade had optional 20" Pentagons. But the standards were what Paul's car has but in silver.

You’re right too.
These are the ones I’m familiar with.

But these are Paul’s.

Would still look better in silver.

I honestly think the black rims suit the car

What one person likes, isn't what someone else might like, in the end it's the personal preference of the owner, and that is really all that matter

Me, I have gold RF-1 rims on my Red VX SS, and painted black stock rims on my silver Honda, I think both look great, and in my personal opinion, the painted black rims on the Honda look 100% better than when they were silver, the black rims and window tint really fits in well, I did keep the centre caps black on the Honda for contrast though

I've had comments on both cars on how good they look

Not a fan of black wheels in general.

Having said that, I wanted some genuine Gen-F Senator wheels, and the set I found in my budget range were powder coated black. I bought them to replace the fr22 Simmons I had on it earlier. Still not a fan of the black. What do you think?

I think it's either a love or hate thing. I think generally younger blokes tend to like black rims. I'm 53 so black rims were only ever stock steelies, often with missing hub caps in my younger days.
