I'd certainly start with changing the diff oil.....From memory, the oil is 80w 140? Then you buy an anti-chatter additive from GM. Check up on the oil it takes first. Any parts outlet may even have the additive.

Cheers Mate,

I am thinking about changing diff ratio anyway, so a new diff centre is the go.....
Anyone delt with these guys before?

The more I think about it, I feel it isn't the diff....

It is fairly aggressive, like, it will rattle coins in the console aggressive.
It is gone when cruising at 100k, or any speed for that matter, but it doesn't come until around 60k's when accelerating or decelerating,
it's something that rotates... Tailshaft is my first thought, but it is definitely coming from the rear of the car.....

I will get some Nolathane camber correction bush's this week, and fit them, also a nolathane Diff mount, after that, i am stumped...

The guys at HPF had the car a whole day, swapped wheels, removed and replaced tailshaft etc etc, it stumped them as well :-(

Im very keen to hear whats involved with the engineering process. Do you know what they need to do to give it a engineers certificate? And also what its gonna cost?

Hi Mate,

Car needs to have a current Road Worthy Certificate, Then an emissions test is carried out with sensor in the exhaust, it will be noise tested, and also brake tested. I have HSV Calipers, and car just had a rw, so shouldn't be too much of a drama........

They look at everything, like Engine mounts, suspension bush's etc etc, as the car is under a lot more stress, they have to be satisfied that an accident is not going to be caused by a component failure do to your modification......

Today the car was given Brand new 3.9 Diff Gears, and a new LSD centre.....
Also a tailshaft Balance & new Centre Bearing as the new one had broken :-(

Now, I drove home with no shuddering, it was awesome, but...............

As soon as i gave the throttle a big tickle.........
Wham, shuddering came back :-(
I'm thinking 1 piece tailshaft is in order????? anyone done that before to a VT??

Oh Yeh, Who do I get to correct my speedo??

Pretty sure your tuner should be able to correct the speedo

If car is roadworthy other than blower, then all is good,
Boost down to 6psi will pass emmisions with flying colours, my fuel economy atm is 12l per 100k, Normally it is 15-17,
Noise? Mufflers on exhaust, and at 3500rpm in neutral, the blower isn't working, so very quite :)

It is not an engine or gearbox mount that is loose or broken is it?
