So my car got detailed and Opticoated today. Pick it up tomorrow, but just my luck there is bloody rain forecast.
Some pics my detailer sent me...

Where did you get that done zero?
I'm looking to get mine done when I pick it up.

Weighing up all the options as the lease agreement can also provide interior and exterior protection but I don't think it will hold a candle to the opti-coat quality.

Those photos look great. All nice and shiny :)

Thanks mate.
Got it done by Dan from Dan's Garage Detailing. This guy is the absolute best in the business.

Cheers mate.

The headlight protectors are there to stay though. My previous VE's headlights copped a lot of very fine sandblasting which made them look crap. I definitely don't want that happening again. Bonnet protector is going on too as soon as I get it back, I deliberately left it off until the Opticoat got done.

Dan's quite busy for anyone wanting to get detailing and outer protection done. It's about an 8-10 week wait in line for him to do the work. I booked mine in with him in Feb and he's doing the work late April. But he's the real deal and I reckon well worth the wait.

Yeah you're not wrong mate. His reputation is second to none and you only have to look at some of the high end vehicles he works on.
I spent many hours researching and could have got it done much cheaper elsewhere, but at the end of the day it was a no brainer, I couldn't trust my car with anyone else.
I'm just on the train on the way to pick it up now. Can't wait!

Just got it home. I thought it looked good before, but the gloss and reflectiveness is off the scale now.

10 minutes from home and I get pelted by rain... grrrr

After Dan's work though you would have been spinning out at the water falling off the car.
