Update: in case you haven't read around the forums my car is off the road for a while, had a fuse problem it didn't break properly or something and fried the bcm and melted half the wiring together. So whole dash has to come out and the wiring and bcm get replaced, and new key heads.

But since I'm pulling the dash out I'll be putting in a stato dash and other interior bits which will result in additional woodgrain :)

Hi Nathan .. I've just read ALL 20 pages in this thread. I read all your highs and lows in getting your Calais sorted. You are an inspiration to all young guys and old blokes like me. I've just started on a VR Berlina, that was initally bought for my son 5 years ago. I hope that your latest drama with the wiring leads to a stunning look with the Stato dash. I'd like to do the woodgrain upgrade as well, so I wait in anticipation for your next installment. Good luck to you.

Hey, wow that would have been quite a read. Yeah I guess you just learn that anything can be fixed and you can tackle any job and just not to give up, you really end up making something unique that you really love and the best part is sharing with other people what you've put so much TLC into. I'm getting the car towed home next week when all the parts willing be coming via the post, I'll get started and post regular updates.

Good luck with the berlina they are great cars, post a thread be sure to link me on it.
