So I went out there the other day and tried to start it up, it went over to the reds but wouldn’t start... when turning the key over it starts the thermo fan but that’s it. Any ideas? Must be dodgy wiring somewhere
It’s definitely not just a flat battery unfortunately.

I'd be checking the plug that goes to the DFI under the coil pack. If 2 and 5 aren't firing, they are the same coil so it leads to an electrical fault.

Yeah that definitely makes sense mate I’ll have a look at it, Do you think that would have lead to it now not starting at all and just engaging the thermo fan?

If the DFI plug is dirty and not contacting properly then yes.

Did you remove the bridging wire from the ALDL plug?

Yeah I took the wire out of the ALDL, and checked the dfi plug it’s looks fine. Just looking under the dash and the previous owner has messed with most of the wiring really sure where to start there is a small box that he has bypassed on the passenger side under the dash.

If the wire was left in the ALDL that's why your fan was running- it does that in code diagnostic mode.

Oh alright, Yeah I definitely didn’t leave it in there. Not sure what’s doin it. I noticed that the starter fuse under the bonnet was clicking as I turn the key over not to sure if that means anything

That's the relay, it's supposed to do that.

So it's not even turning over now? Just clicking?
