Hey guys.
I am in the process of swapping my stock front speakers in my vx to a pair of pioneer 350w four ways.
I have swapped the front left one so I decided to compare the sound quality of the new one with the old ones. When I isolated each speaker I noticed the new one has very little bass, much less than the stock ones, and the sound quality doesn't seem much different. Could anyone tell me what could be the problem, I soldered the old wires to the new ones provided and connected positive to positive and negative to negative.

It's called midbass usually 80hz+ but mine go pretty low. Are they connected to a factory head unit or aftermarket? Could be tuning?

350W divided by 4speakers equals FK-all power to the 'bass' woofer of the whole speaker.
should have got 350W 2-ways for what it sounds like you want.

Sorry guys I have no idea when it comes to car audio. It says on the box the nominal power is 50w. I have a pioneer head unit which I installed yesterday and it seemed to improve the stock speakers a bit. I just thought the new speakers would play a bit louder without distorting and have better bass. Have I maybe connected the wires wrong?

Those headunit ratings are usually all rubbish. 50 x 4 at max power. Real output is closer to around 20 x 4.
