Most of the time noise is from the tracks that hold the glass in not the internal runners. The best way to fix is pulling the glass out, taking the outer rubbers off and cleaning it all up. Only takes the tiniest debris in there to irritate. The silicone spray has probably only succeeded in getting the debris into a nice grouping.

Where is this screw? Outside the door, inside the door? I can't find it on the outside.
Thanks for any help you able to give.

I don't even know how to explain where it is. Its there on the door almost up the top ,slightly hidden by rubber seal perhaps, well my drivers side was a little hidden the other side wasn't, so not sure how it should be

I think perhaps you can't see it because you have the window UP. Put it down, then you will see
I think it's a 4mm allen

I think you maybe right. The window is up.
I have two vt s1 wagons. The car that is my daily, l can't see. The other one, l can see. I think. About 4 inches from the top of the door. The face where the lock is. But up near the top of the door. There is a spot like you can slot a screw driver (or alan key) in. I'm fairly sure l can see the head.
Thanks for your help.
