I ran over one by accident the other day in QLD.

I stopped had a check and he looked fine.
Huge snake as thick as my wrist.
We,ve got one living in the roof somewhere, saw him last year and every now and then you hear a large thump on the ceiling, sounds like Godzilla about to come through the gyprock :)

Normally it,s roos that run on to the road, I don,t care much if they get hit,
might sound cruel , but in the country they are a menace and are so stupid on the roads. One ran into my wifes car door the other day while she was stopped.

We,re too far from any vets, the most humane thing you can do if you injure a roo with your car is to knock it on the head.

Really like to see the pic, I,ve never been game enough to hold one :)

I did grab hold of the tail of the one in my roof (he was half hanging out) , they are the only snake that,s a good one.
We get Red Belly , Brown , and Death Adders , I only have seen one of them,
I don,t like the Browns, a bit too aggressive, bit one of my dog,s on the cheek, maybe because the dog was attacking him :).

Anyway the dog survived, a Ridgeback , was laid out for a few days .
He was bitten around 3 times we know of during his life, eventually he died from a tick we think.
