VY v6
Can anybody here recommend a scanner that is known to work with VX V6 (3.8).
I have one that I obtained from Repco, quite a while ago, and it does not seem to be reliable with it's (in)ability to connect to the system every time.
launch 123i OBD2 WILL WORK I DID ONE TODAY..ABOUT 180 EBAY..

Really? I see no mention of ALDL in listings for that scan tool (eBay, Amazon, Aliexpress)

Launch crp123i obd2 on a 2001 v6 statesman 1 hour ago...

From factory no Ecotec is OBDII. The scan tool must also read ALDL.

Does it read transmission, ABS, airbags everything? Sometimes with Chinesium scan tools, they don't cover every module.
