Need some help on this ....

I have replaced the std headunit in my MY10 SV6 with a SSV type headunit . At the same time I had the secondary information console ( SIC ) reprogrammed to sports mode which shows Battery Voltage and Oil Pressure

The issue is that the battery voltage shows , but the oil display indicator is blank.

Reading up on this there appears to be 2 opinions on the issue
1. MY10 SIDI does not have an oil pressure sensor fitted
2. SIDI engine runs at a higher oil pressure than the AFM V8 Motor , there fore display does not scale and is blank.

Can anyone offer any advice on this ?

The other option I have is to replace the gauge with an eltronic 3 gauge type from JHP , but then if no pressure sensor is present then what would be the point !

the oil pressures measured from the oil pressure switch on the oil filter housing on the V6's and i know for a fact they are different part numbers from the V8 ones, they probably use different signals for the gauge
