Hey guys our family Calais is throwing the code p0521, from what I can research it's the sensor under the oil filter (v6)
My question is, it that called the oil pressure sensor or the oil pressure switch? I'm looking on eBay and I can find 2, the switch under the oil filter looks like the oil pressure switch on eBay but I just want to make sure I'm fixing the right one.

Any help from anyone who has changed one is much appreciated

Cheers

The oil pressure switch is located under the oil filter - fairly common problem in V6 commodores and is quite dimple to change

Mine is a 3 pin connector.

Thanks for the help, which one would be causing the error code p0521? The switch or sensor?

Hey did you replace the sensor and solve the problem?
I've just had the same code appear on my car too. I'd love to know if there is any way to make sure the actual sensor is faulty and not a blocked oil pickup etc?
My car is driving normally but it's a worry.
Yes, I know if I replace the sensor and the fault reappears there's an oil problem but don't have a new sensor yet...
