Pandora to be discontinued in Australia

Anyone heard yet if Holden have released a mylink update to remove pandora?

I’m assuming they won’t bother since the VF is history...

Hey, since it was raised in another thread, when others here are using the steering-wheel button to step through the different input sources, does the now-defunct Pandora come-up as an option?

Hasn’t ever done-so with our MY14, yet apparently it does for others (which made me understand a little more about why people care about having the app removed ... I’m used to having unused icons on my PC’s desktop so it doesn’t bother me ).

Maybe it’s because we never used it? I’ve scrolled through inputs with & without a ‘phone tethered, and also with an Android or an Apple ‘phone.

It doesn't come up here on my MY17, but I've never used Pandora

using a vpn on your phone will allow Pandora to be used again

I used to use it a lot. Now I just use Spotify or USB. Pandora doesn't display, or come up on my MY14 or MY17.

Pandora won't show up as you scroll through the sources if you haven't got the corresponding Pandora app on your mobile phone. If you do (for instance if you still use it via a VPN) then it will show up. It's always been that way, even before Pandora streaming was decommissioned in Australia.

So if your problem with the Pandora app being in MyLink is with it appearing when you scroll through sources, delete the Pandora app from your ‘phone ... ?

I don’t have pandora on my phone yet I’ve seen pandora as a selectable source when pressing the steering wheel button.

Great deterministic behaviour across vehicles... go figure...

It is an ap in Mylink. It was really good when it first came out in 2013.

Skylarking knows what it was; his problem is that it’s still an app in MyLink despite not existing as a service, and it’s still considered an input-source so that when he uses the steering-wheel butting to scroll through sources it still appears despite him never having used it & it no longer being an option.
