The new model bravia's are good but to me i think they're a bit pricey. Samsung defenitly make the best LCD's and thats why many company including lg and sony use samsung panels (sony use to not sure if they still do).
I have a 32inch samsung and think its awesome only problem is i think its too small now go the 42inch

If you want a quality plasma, go Pioneer. We've got a 43" Pioneer plasma (about 3 years old now) and the quality absolutely sh1ts on every plasma and LCD I've seen. Pretty sure it came with a 3 year warranty too.

There's a tool on the Samsung website I found last week. You select what distance you sit from the tv and the lighting in the room and it will recommend what size LCD or Plasma and models in their range that fit the requirements. Quite handy, tells you the reasons to go for plasma or lcd.

I thought that would be a given. Why would anyone buy a TV that's not native 1080p?

I just put my new samsung 46" series 6 lcd up on sunday night and i'm rapt with it. It replaced the old 42" plasma i had so the difference is worlds apart.
Having said that, both have their advantages over the other so it depends on the room you're putting it in.
