a pod is better than the stock airbox tho, so still a good mod.. Also found it gave a better exhaust note and went harder through the higher rpm after pod put on..

Yeah.. Its a lot better at higher RPM's..

I've only seen gains when I chucked a pod in.. Heaps better then the K&N Panel I had.. But I'm on gas though..

I combatted the problem of only sucking in hot air by putting the original CAI snorkel back in.. It points straight to the Pod..

I realise it will still suck in a lot of hot air.. But what I know is that the car runs better with the pod, more power and economy.. I haven't looked back..

The solution for all the pod users is simple...

:D

man that looks awsome, but how does it go in the rain? thats my only fear with cold air intakes and pods out side is that in the rain it will wither reck the pod or cause the car to either suck water in or just no suck as well cause the pod is wet.

also were did u get the parts for ur pod that way, and have u got some inside engine pics for the piping

VL twin turbo. VN5L. old jeep, **** mondeo.
well i see it this way, the upside of a pod is higher cfm
downside is hotter sir
so why not put a shield around it and run a cai setup to it? should work very well

yep if u can put a pod in an airtight and heat sheilded airbox (obiously only airtight to anything but outside air that would rock!, i know of a few ppl that have done this, its not that hard rlly...

Any idea how I'd go about making an airbox light that?

Hmmmm

CAI - is for people that drive - when in motion , CAI works , and the higher the speed , the better it works ...

At 40KMH CAI - who care's - At 60kmh CAI may imrove fuel ecconomy .

At 80KMH - I can feel the difference , At 100kmh ooooh yeah ...

At 130 KMH [ Eeer Theory ? ] Very nice ....

Ive used the pod , for a relatively stock engine , ill stick to the CAI ...
If you have a worked engine that demands air instantly , yeah the pod is a proven performer ... But for those looking for a few more K's for there litre of Gold , CAI works , esp at highway speeds ....
