I don't have an image, more of a story.
Although the image is forever burned into the back of my mind.
A few weeks ago one of the guys we work with and play footy with at 23 years old lost his battle with depression and took his own life.
He'd only been in the Air Force for a few years and was a fantastic guy.
So our Unit flew down to Gosford for his Military Funeral, The Footy team and his co workers formed the Honour Guard and were coffin bearers.
I will never ever forget watching my mates march the coffin of another brother in arms down the isle, us standing by Saluting him as he went past. Was such a helpless feeling.
Watching them fold the RAAF Ensign (flag) and handing it to his mother. That image will haunt me forever.

Well just spent most the night reading this thread from start to finish 
safe to say I won't be sleeping tonight........
I found this one to be the one that hit me the hardest, It would be hard to go to war but it would be harder for your wife to wait for you to come home wondering if she will ever see you again. And sleeping next to her husband for the last time is just like that, I don't even know what to say.....
