Ripshift is noisy and ruins the gearbox. A billet shifter is the way to go. Better, stronger and it has an adjustable shift for even shorter throw etc...:):)

I got my T56 from Mal Wood, and asked if i can get a Ripshifter put onto it before delivery.

He said there would be no warranty if i put on on it, and theres no need, as it already comes with a Tremek short throw shifter. Guess they could be a 3rd option (unless Billet make them)

I've never missed 3rd, and you barely have to think when changing, it just does it all for you.

:rofl:how the hell does a ripshift ruin a gearbox, have never ever heard that one before
been running mine for over 12 months without a problem and quiet as the standard shifter
the billet still uses the crappy remote design

For the most reputable gearbox builder in Australia to not recommend them, there has to be something wrong with the ripshifter

yeah he doesn't sell them so he wouldn't make any money fro recommending them
so you still haven't answered ,how does a ripshift ruin the gearbox?
I know all of the fastest LS1's in oz are running a rip and have never heard of any gearbox breakages from them

Um what? whats making money have to do with anything?

As i said, the most reputable gearbox builder in Australia wont recommend them, and will offer NO warranty on products he's built if using them.

Even if i was to buy one after, he's still not making any money off of it......He doesn't have that Rep for no reason...
