Thanks mate. I know that car well, awesome R31 but not what I would do if I was going that far, don't forget mine is still street registered

Bit more work, bought some stuff

"High flow" thermostat.. My car has always run around 95-98 degrees, not ideal. I will replace the thermostat and flush the block properly, hoping this will fix it in time for what will no doubt be a hot November Matsuri at Wakefield.

New rear brake pads, QFM A1RM to fit my VR rear calipers. I've heard good things about these pads for ages, very happy to try them

These are my VR rear calipers, cleaned up with a wire wheel on a drill

And adjustable castor rods, I have borrowed these, not mine :(

Ordered some tyres, sadly only 1 pair of these are mine. I got Achilles ATR Sport 215/45R17

Still have to do the rear brake + handbrake, install castor rods, get 16" tyres, fit all my tyres and wheel alignment, paint my window trims GTS style all before Matsuri.. Doesn't seem very likely at the moment, but I'll try my best. Window trims might suffer.

Cheers,
Anthony.

Thanks man. The team I drift with is semi-sponsored by Achilles, so we get them cheap. They last a long time too and aren't prone to delaminate, I hope to get 2 days out of these if I rotate them side to side after every run.

Yeah they are a great tyre. My mate is sponsored by them and uses the 123S. But he destroys tyres pretty quickly.

I was keen to try some 123's, but I have trouble getting them in 16" at the moment, so probably will go with an RS-R again (for steering) if not 595-SS all round.
The good thing about having no power is not burning through tyres :D

You will have heaps of grip going to the 123s. Plus the 8mm of tread they have will last longer too.

Yeah I'm keen to try them, I like to test as many different tyres as I can. Unfortunately, hard to find in 16" sizes at the moment.
