Hey guys.
I’m new to this site so I just want to Thankyou in advance if you can help me.

I have a 2014 ssv commodore. I have lost my license for the past 13 months so I just start it every now and then in the driveway. Th other day I started it and left it running. Upon going back to it it was throwing out steam and boiling. I’ve let it cool down but both the upper and lower radiator hose have flattened like pancakes.
So my question is...can I take the air filter unit off to get to them without a tube.
apologies in advance. I don’t know a lot about these newer cars.

Thankyou again.

More than likely a failed radiator cap. Grab a new genuine one from Holden and test again.

As above,
My pipes were flat (no steam though), new cap fixed it.

I had the flat hose issue too! Just had to replace the cap. Faulty batch of caps maybe? 2013 SSV.

Flat hoses = defective cap.

If its not the cap check that the overflow outlet on the plastic tube the cap connects to hasn’t snapped off. It happened to mine when getting some 100 cell cats fitted at Gold Coast Custom Exhausts in Labrador. They tucked the tube up in front of the radiator so I didn’t see it and I only found out a week later when it started running hotter than normal.
