The inner card's not that hard to remove-there are instructions on this forum although the links to the old photos are probably dead.

It is if you can't open the door.

Sorry, you're right, Ive only done this with the door open. Maybe remove the inner handle and grab the wire that goes to the lock to see if that can move anything.

ive had this...what i did was to pull the sniper button up and down while pulling the inside door handle open and close a number of times and it opened....patience is what's needed

My VS had similar.

Lucky I could open the door, remove the card and CRC the crap out of the rod mechanism.
Use lock lubricant spray on linkages once door trims are off and central locking will go like a gun.

But yeah fast up and down on snib while someone ties to pull door handle up in fast quick motions will normally open them.

Our cars have quirky faults but nothing too serious. They are a tough unit lol.
