Rear window falls down

The rear passenger window in my Statesman has fallen down and won’t wind back up. I can pull it back up easily by hand but it just falls back down. I can hear the motor engaging but nothing happens. Any tips before I tear the door open would be appreciated

You need to replace the whole window armature. The cable will have broken.

Get a used one.

Have to remove the door trim.
