Recon RB30

Anyone reconditioned an NA RB30 before? Mines around 250 000km so I'm looking at freshening it up, are there any quirks I should know about ? Or reccomended rebuild kits out there ? Any input appreciated !! My web searches haven't revealed much..(Its staying NA for now and I've never had any problems with it over the last 8 years.)

Im looking at the same thing at the moment. The bottom end of the RB30 is strong as hell, but for longivity I'd replace the following:

* Bearings
* Piston rings
* Head Gasket
* Lifters
* Water Pump
* Leads
* CAS

Would also be wise to chemically clean the injectors. Provided your cylinder bores still have their hone marks, and experience shows they should, then all will be sweet. Check your oil pump clearances and renew parts if required.

I rebuilt mine just over a year ago and the parts prices where ;

ACL Nissan RB 30 Rebuild kit - $595 (Trade) $654.50 (Retail)
It included all piston rings, bearings, gaskets, etc

I spose that didn't include lifters? Do you have a complete parts list?
