Saddam has been the cause of alot of death during his time, terrible and shocking pain, just look at the state of the prisions and those who have escaped the country during his reign.

i am for any punishment he gets. death is well deserved, even if human right #3 is the right to life, i doubt he showed mercy for the Kurds.
although, i am kinda starting to think he'd be better serving life in prision so that he will forever have his natural freedoms that all humans are born with taken from him.

but then again he will need to be fed.. and kept.... swift pain.. may be the better option, hanging is quite an easy way to die, snapped neck equals instant death, lethal injection should have been the alternative, he'd feel his skin burn and insides die, just like what the Kurds possibly felt..

i think he should be killed then reincarnated and then killed reincarnated etc. until he has died as many times as the lives he has taken...i know this is impossible but i believe in the 'eye for an eye' punishment and i believe that in this case the punishment does certainly not fit the crime...

i hope the families of his victims can feel closure after his death

Its deserved to get the death penalty if you kill people with guns, or with gases, but not if you kill people with Drugs?

In regards to the bali nine I dont think its a case of they got what they deserved, rather they knew what was coming. Especially after Shapelle Corby. Anyone who takes drugs into or out of Indonesia knows that the death penalty is on the cards and thus is willing to take that risk. Its no use whinging about it after you get caught. Ill bet their only regret is getting caught.

this is as personal as ill get, having a mother who is a druggaddict (i do not live with her, never have) i am full aware that drugs kill people. however, importing it should not merit the death penalty, people are free to choose what they do, be it use drugs or not, people are not forced into using drugs, they buy and use freely. im sure some people are forced, but this is generally a personal decision.

pedophiles may derserve death, druggies do not. a druggy is somebody who is addicted to drugs, it is not them themselves who are bad, it is the disease.

human right #2 nobody, ever, has the right to take life from a human being, as i first said,but i agree to the death penalty to an extent, you must have good merit for it. shipping drugs deserves life, not death. killing hundreds of thousands of people in my opinion merits death.
