So not heaps has happened but there is progress, given it a bit of service on Monday, with oil, plugs, leads and filters. The oil filter was a bitch though, took 2 hours a filter wrench multiple screwdrivers and a cut to my finger to get the bloody thing off as you can see by the state I left it in. Got the trans filter kit yesterday so I'll do that sometime this week. I've got the diff oil too, but I want to convert to rear discs which may possibly be snowballing into a LSD and so on, so I'm holding out on changing the fluid as it seems ok at the moment.

Took it to Lilydale today to get it inspected for club reg too so should have rego on it by Monday or Tuesday. Also if anyone can recommend any insurance companies too, bear in mind I'm not 19 yet, so I'm not expecting overly cheap.

Not really relevant but I also built another bench this week too, I'm nearly at the point of being able to shift the car without moving a ton of other crap

Yeah thanks man I'll be giving them a call tomorrow, they've just started the YVCB cruises so hopefully they can cut me a deal.
Also got it registered today.

Cheers mate, sussed out insurance today. $474 for full comp with Shannons, pretty pleased with that. Youi wanted $1000 just for 3rd party lol.

Took it for its first proper drive on Friday the Yarra Valley mini meet, by the time I picked up my mate it was around a 2 hour round trip and made it through with ease. Only thing is it can't multi task, it can either accelerate or do hills but not both haha.

Cheers mate, photos always make it look amazing. Its still a little rough in places but I don't mind too much as its all still original gear on it.

Yep, the VB is happy to putter about in flat-undulating terrain at 90-110 but....no more.
Lovely car you have there. What is happening next with it?

Next step is to convert the rear to disc brakes and hopefully a LSD, followed by a 4 speed conversion eventually. So if anyone knows of a reasonably priced VB-VK LSD in vic let me know please.
