Would it be possible to integrate it with park assist , activated by the sensors so it comes on also when driving forward as well as reverse , reversing is only part of the equation

If we had access to the software on the mylink it might be possible to have it automatically display.

Using a composite to lvds converter you can have a button to enable it or have it switch the display using a steering wheel button like holding the hangup button down for 2 seconds.
