Sealing up hose barb into air pipe - what product to use?

Yes, it's ideally the best way but I wouldn't do that with a nice VF unless it was a dedicated track car. Using catch cans as an oil separator as you've done is the best road car option.


I'm not sure about the check valves as I can't see where the hoses are fitted.
I agree - no venting to atmosphere at all for any road driven car.
My check valves are inline with the 2 outlets from the can and they flow away from the can.

My setup goes valley plate PCV orifice out -> catch can 1 outlet goes to intake manifold, catch can 2 outlet goes to pre-TB/post-MAF with the barb

My check valves are inline with the 2 outlets from the can and they flow away from the can.

If there's no vacuum leak at the barb at idle, your check valves should be correctly fitted.
