thanx heaps for all of your repsonses... its off the mechanic tomorrow morning, so I guess we'll see what they reckon (or how good they actually are - the car yards bloke)....

Get your tyres alligned and balenced. I had the same problem and it turned out that my rear tyres were out a few degrees which caused the car to shake under acceleration. Its worth looking into. BTW are your rear tyres very worn as my problem was actually found as i was getting a wheel change-over cause my rears were bald

Hi everyone... Just wanting to let you know that one of my uni's was worn, so the mechanic changed it... volia ! no more shudder...

BTW, tyres are in excellent condition

i had a centre bearing done for $100 dollars fitted. used to make a hell of a noise with four people in the car lol.
