we used it for another 7 years as a family hack until it rusted away.
Pretty sure I said that

Yeah, but you were referring to one specific car. I was referring to ALL XD's. Fastest corroding car since the HD.

i like the look of the au xr's, i would rather drive a strait 6 ford and replace head gaskets then drive a v6 holden. HATE v6's.

i hate the seating position in the au and the commodores as well just feels weird, my favorite e series falcon would be the ED, mum had one and i thought it was a great car and gave us no problems at all

for a 6 i pick ford for a 8 i pick holden

VB to VL, no V6s there.

Yes the Ford 6 was good, albeit troublesome. Our ghia had the XR6 VCT engine which went great. Nice to drive, and that IRS was worlds ahead of the Holdens IRS. Too bad so much went wrong with it. Never bought a Ford again.

Though Holden is no better these days. Probably a good reason they're on there way out.
