lol - I have had the same thing a few times myself. It is actually the trip computer advising you to change gears when the REV's are inordinately high...
This is highly amusing, considering that my car is an AUTO! :whistling

Beat me to it. Yes people it really is that simple, no T/C button means no T/C.

Buzzz, wanna try again?

All VY commodores have traction control, but the lower specs dont have the button to turn it off because it shouldnt be needed (weren't thinking of the young guys then :p)

As said before, if you want to do burnouts take out the abs/safety system fuse, it is stupid to do but it's the only way.

Buzzz. You're wrong now.

According to this site:
http://www.users.on.net/~nweber/commodore/vy/index.html

VY Execs don't have T/C. According to the Holden website, it still isn't standard on VZ Execs either.
Ding ding ding, we have a winner!
That is correct, it is an option on the exec even up to the current VZ.
Trust me, no button, no traction control.
Simple.

arg, its not that simple.
Mine is an exec, it has no button, but it has traction control, what does that say? It says that you can have traction control without having a button.
I admit i was wrong about it being standard but the button is not the indicator because they were too lazy to fit the button on the spec-up'd execs

EDIT: after reading the link maybe the disagreement is coming from the difference between series 1 and series 2 models? It says all series 2 were fitted with cruise control and a few other extras (no mention of traction control) but maybe it was standard (and hence the no button)

EDIT 2: Holden's website says that only aclaim comes with T/C seems a little off to me?

What are you using as the basis for having traction control?

The most obvious way to tell is to look at the throttle body. If it has T/C, there'll only be one 'accelerator' cable. If there are two cables, the your car don't have T/C.
Isn't that the kickdown cable?

LMAO! Kickdown cables went out with the VR:p
If it has two cables, the second is the cruise control cable.
