Slammed VeeDub Rat and a Brunette...
I heard a rumour that the new HSV's, no idea from what point, have trac control that you cant dissable, something to so with the government and a new law.

Is there any truth to this, cos that takes the fun out of a 300kw car!

LMAO! Kickdown cables went out with the VR:p
If it has two cables, the second is the cruise control cable.

Correct.

But, in a car with T/C, both of these cables go to the throttle relaxer which then only has one cable to the throttle body. If that makes sense.

So, in a car WITH T/C, there will be one cable to the throttle body. In a car WITHOUT T/C, there will be two cables to the throttle body.

HBD VYII Acclaim

would a s/charged v6 vy calais has the traction control button??
Is the supercharger and after-market accessory? I couldn't tell you for sure - the technical data on the holden website caters for the VZ range only... I was under the impression that only the Acclaim had T/C in the VY series. Given that the calais is a luxury model, it is possible...

I just want one

In VY, traction control was standard in almost everything except Exec. That includes Acclaim, S, SV8, SS, Berlina, Calais & Monaro.

The only (VY) models which did not come with traction control standard were Exec, Lumina, Equipe and 9C1 (Police pack).

The supercharger option was dropped from VZ onwards, because they came out with the new engine. Up to VYII, you could choose a supercharged V6 as an option on selected models, of which Calais was one.

Yes. It should be at the base of the gear selector. If the car is manual (doubtful since its a Calais), it will be near the lid of the console, behind the power window switches.
