I tried the accelarator pumping bitto start it, i even tried my normal way of starting her...

Maccar It could be the mixer screw .... if i marked a spot on my screw driver, whatever the mark stops, would i just turn it anticlockwise twice then half of a turn? to acheive 2.5

Just making sure i do things correctly.

ps. is that the setting for your ride? just thats yours is EFI

I had this sorta problem in my VK...not sure if its the same thing...but it sounds like it. Try a new fuel regulator...I got mine tested and was told that it was just flooding...letting in too much fuel. This could be your problem...either too much or not enough...hope this helps...

Nah i have always had carb cars, just got this one so im a little nervous. 2.5 turns for mixture screws is a sorta standard (i say "sorta" very loosley). Most of the time if the mixture is the problem that will fix it enough to get it running and then you can make adjustments properly.

If the motor not ur car, then where atre you keeping the battery???

Keeping the battery on the ground will kill it in a couple of days, then will need charging again. Only needs to be sitting up on a block of timber or similar, so it not earthing !:hit:

Hi,
This might sound really dumb, but a while ago I rebuilt carby and I was just wondering where the mixture screw was.
Its a VK with a varajet and I know that the VK varajet is slightly different to the VC varajet.

My mixer is a flat screw located at the bottom of the carb, kind of inside it ... you will have to look for it, where as my idle screw is on the outside area of the carb closer to the accelarator cable.

Just make sure u know what you are doing mate :)

There may even be a hose or 2 closer to it.
