Strange noise 2011 VE Thunder series 2 UTE

Hey guys,
I have a 2011 VE Thunder series 2 ute - Auto transmission,
I've recently started hearing a strange almost "whooshing" sound coming from the engine bay when I'm either accelerating and the rev's are picking up (around 4000rpm onwards), or after medium/heavy acceleration when the throttle is backed off quickly. It almost sounds like a belt slipping or something but everything else feels fine under load and I haven't noticed loss in power. I'm hesitant to really boot it now though.
Any ideas of what this could be?

the auto tansmission in my 2011 ute also makes this funky noise. Its done it for afew years now. Holden couldn't find it under warranty. I just add it to the list of weird noises the car makes. I've never owned a car that has had so many weird noises.
