I was always under the impression that any additional gauges or dials had to be installed below the level of the car's original dashboard cluster, so as not to provide a driver distraction, or interfere with visibility.

That would be my bet too, probably similar (if not the same) law as with neons etc.

iwll keep an eye out but atm im so broke that i make the local bum look rich remember i just wrote my normal car off had to pay out the finance new parts for the new vp and rego plus i just moved

on top of that i have a sick wife that has liver disease that need treatment regularly to stay above ground :rip:

so yeh money is short

yes, like emergency vehicles, hire cars & taxis have a modified set of rules....
