Ok here's the go..dont try opening up your DFI loll. Its bathed in some sort of gel, its like 5mm deep. I gave the outside a good clean n put it back together.
I also gave the IAC another clean, just took it for a spin, seems like its running good but you never know, ill give it about a week to see if it does it again.

well i did say i wouldn't and that gel is meant to be a non conductive sealant and it should be like a gel mat in 1 piece but the seals don't work real well i don't have these issues anymore as i have2 cars worth of parts to test with
