Turkey hardens military position after Syria downs jet - CNN.com

Erdogan criticized Syria harshly on Tuesday for shooting down the Turkish fighter jet, saying: "Even if the plane was in their airspace for a few seconds, that is no excuse to attack."

"It was clear that this plane was not an aggressive plane. Still it was shot down," he said.

Erdogan is nothing but a two face peice of **** and Turkey has finally shown their true colors.

Whilst I dont trust what Putin says 100% of the time, Moscow is going to retaliate and so they ####ing should.

Meh, sounds like it's time to grab the guns, pack the car and head bush. The worlds gone to **** with the Ruskis, Muslims, Turks, Yanks, Frogs, Poms, Chinese and every other bastard out there hating one another, I think the best thing to do is build a bunker and live out my days waiting for the war to come to me. Bring on the zombie apocalypse and the end of civilisation, I dream of the days that The Walking Dead becomes reality, sure I'll be fighting for life every day, but at least I won't be a fkn plasterer.
I'll meet you there! You bring the beer, I'll bring the ammo.

LOL, that's from 2012.

Long time between then and now.

Russia needs to learn boundaries, i.e respect the borders of foreign countries and suffer the consequences if they don't. He just did.

Russia does, but Turkey's actions are unwarranted no matter how you look at it.

The correct course of action would have been to use their fighters to escort the Russian jet away. Though given the incursion was so short, the would have had to fly into Syrian air space to achieve this.

Russia is a big, burly bully that laughs at his own jokes.

What happened here was there was a confrontation in which the Russian bully bluffed at the short angry little guy (Turkey). Then as they where turned away and laughing, the little guy shot them in the back of the head.

Now we have two dead Russians as a consequence of a 10second incursion over an imaginary line.

This doesn't strike me as a rational or appropriate consequence.

We can only hope, Russia is more sensible in it's actions of retaliation. Otherwise we are about to see something unfold that will fundamentally change the world.
