Don't blame me, it's a political thing!

My new engine arrived on Sunday, but I still have no ticket to ride.

Will be doing swap out shortly. Reaper's new 4 bolt main 5.0 is due to go into his SS this weekend too.

In reality the reason I haven't reached it yet is because I'm not allowed to drive. I did pull 5.055 though with 7ish psi before I got pinged (in either sense of the word).

HoldenOnn, nice 60' :p - that's wheels up action i reckon!

Out of curiosity, how much does your car weigh?

and how was it setup for that 60'? - slicks, runners, 90/10 and fe2 in the rear?

what gears and trans?

It did lift the front left hand tyre in the air :)

The setup is pretty basic really apart from tyres. The tyres were front runners and at the business end they were Mickey Thompson DOT Approved Grooved Slick Tyre. Suspension is 100% FE2 springs and shocks all around. No 90/10's anywhere in site as this is more a street car than a dedicated strip car. Unsure on the weight of my car. Im guessing around the 1300-1400kg mark, but unsure exactly as I have never had it weighed.

The diff is a factory borg warner lsd unit with standard axles etc, but just with 3.9 gears.

Gearbox is a fullhouse Keas Jatco 4sp with Transbrake and aftermarket thicker pan and all the goodies internally including an Allfast 3500rpm torque converter.

My cars that I race have always been driven to the track for the last 13 years. They are very well mannered and very well maintained and over serviced you could say which isn't a bad thing at all for the longevity stakes. The track is a 2.5 hour trip one way, then we change tyres and race, then change back to street tyres then 2.5 hours home. My 500hp VL Berlina sees highway fuel economy figures consistently of 25mpg which is 11.3lts/100km. My VLT's have always driven like a stock VLT albeit better on fuel and more efficient when driven normally and with a fantastic tune on board. Alot of the VLT's still getting around in stock or mildly stock condition struggle to get anywhere near 20 something mpg in economy.

Below is a slightly altered copy of my post I did a little while ago from another site;
